Castilla left without a striker after cruciate ligament injury to Pedro Ruiz

Published on: 27 January 2020

Real Madrid Castilla are currently without an available striker after Pedro Ruiz suffered a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament, external meniscus and internal meniscus against Pena Deportiva.

He joins Brazilian forward Rodrigo Rodrigues on the sidelines, who suffered a fractured meniscus a few weeks ago.

They came as two major blows for coach Raul Gonazalez, who is short of options up front.

Against Pena Deportiva, Raul replaced Pedro with Pablo Rodriguez Delgado from the U19s, and the youngster now may be needed more regularly amid the current crisis.
