Video: Ishmael Yartey opens Swiss scoring account

Published on: 06 August 2011

Ishmael Yartey scored his first Swiss League goal for FC Servette in their comprehensive 4-2 triumph over Lausanne in a local derby on Saturday.

Yartey, 21, on loan from Portuguese giants Benfica, was handed an unconventional role of playing behind the main striker and was successful.

The former Ghana Under-17 winger was played through by team-mate Moubandje and he masterfully finished off in the 7th minute to give Joao Alves' side the lead.

De Azevedo then grabbed a brace before Karanovic converted a 72nd minute spot-kick to seal the win.

The win sent Servette to the summit of the Swiss Super League.

Yartey was playing his second match for his new club after missing the opening two fixtures due to work permit delays.
