Ex-Asante Kotoko star Baba Amando has shed tears over the massive deaths recorded worldwide as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

The former Ghana international wept profusely in trying understanding the current situation and called on God to intervene and heal the world.

Amando, now based in the United Arab Emirates, posted a video on his Facebook page crying like a baby.

''My problem is so much pain. Why are people suffering ? Some people don't have places to sleep. God where are you? Why is the whole world suffering?,'' he said.

The coronavirus COVID-19 is affecting 209 countries and territories around the world.

More than 9,600 people have died of the virus in the United States, and it leads the world in confirmed infections at more than 337,000.

The Great Britain reported more than 600 deaths on Sunday to overtake Italy’s daily increase for the second day in a row.

Italy still has, by far, the world’s highest coronavirus death toll — almost 16,000.
