Cerci closes social media accounts as rift with AC Milan continues

Alessio Cerci is beginning to drift further and further apart with AC Milan after having been attacked over social media, following his involvement in a 1-0 loss against Bologna.

The 28-year-old was the target of fan abuse on Wednesday evening after scuffing a chance to gift his side all three-points, with the Rossoneri eventually going on to concede a late goal to condemn them to defeat.

As a result of such harassment, Cerci has since closed his social media accounts on both Facebook and Twitter, leading to even further speculation that his time in Milan is finally coming to its end.

Having built a bad rapport with supporters ever since joining the club on loan last year, it is conceivable that his play time may be reduced, though at the time being a loan to a new club seems unlikely.

This is down to the fact that his parent club Atletico Madrid are reluctant to loan him out once more to the likes of Genoa and Bologna and are instead insisting that he leaves their team on a permanent basis, having been left unsatisfied with his performances both in Spain and whilst on loan.
