The draw for the CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024 Qualifiers will take place on Wednesday, 9 October 2024 at 14:00 Cairo time (11:00 GMT).

The tournament, set to be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania from 1 – 28 February 2025, will showcase Africa's finest domestic talent.

Ahead of the finals, two rounds of home-and-away qualifiers are scheduled. The first round will take place from 25 – 27 October and 1 – 3 November 2024, with the second round from 20 – 22 December and 27 – 29 December 2024.

The 2024 edition continues the growth trajectory of the CHAN tournament, which has been a platform for highlighting African football's talent since 2009. Senegal won the 2022 edition, and the prize money for the tournament has increased by 60%, with the champions set to receive $2 million.

The event will also serve as a preparatory stage for Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania as they gear up to co-host the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations in 2027.

CAF will announce the official draw procedures soon.
