The home-based national team beat Premier League side Liberty Professionals 3-2 on Wednesday ahead of Sunday's CHAN final round second leg qualifier against Burkina Faso.

Chelsea of Bechem striker Obed Owusu put the CHAN squad ahead early in the game at the El-Wak Park but Liberty drew level through Kassenu Ghandi.

Kessben FC forward Bismark Idan scored two second half goals to give Herbert Addo's troops a two-goal cushion but Guinean import Sylla Fodah pulled one back for Liberty.

The local Black Stars will play a final test match on Thursday against second-tier side Tema Youth before a 30-man squad is pruned to 21.

Ghana must avoid a scoring draw or defeat to progress to the second edition of the CHAN finals in Sudan next year after a barren first leg result.
