Chelsea and Manchester United battle for AC Milan striker

AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca has emerged as a possible target for Premier League club Chelsea during the January transfer window.

The 29-year-old arrived in Milan from La Liga club Sevilla for â‚¬30 million in July 2015 after the Rossoneri matched the Colombia international’s buyout clause.

According to The Telegraph, the Blues have contacted the Milanese club regarding the transfer of the former Club Brugge forward but could face competition from rivals Manchester United.

Bacca has hit the ground running in Serie A, scoring eight goals during 16 league appearances so far this season with the club reluctant to let one of their best player’s leave the club midway through the season.

Meanwhile, Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian has pledged his future to the club following rumours linking the Italy international with a move back to Serie A with Juventus.
