Chelsea and Arsenal are interested in signing Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng during the summer transfer window.

Boateng’s current contract with the German giants ends in 2021 and according to reports, Bayern are not interested in renewing his contract and are ready to release him for the right offer.

Chelsea and Arsenal have both made contact with the 31-year old who is ready to leave for more playing time.

The two London clubs may get the player for free next season but will depend on which club offers a juicy contract to convince the experienced defender.

Boateng had a short stint  in the Premier League with Manchester City for a season before moving back to Bayern Munich.

Chelsea and Arsenal are looking to strengthen their squad next season and Boateng’s experience and quality will be needed.

Bayern Munich are hoping to cash in Boateng who is valued at 11 million euros in the summer.
