Italian newspaper Libero claims Chelsea could tempt Gianluigi Donnarumma to leave Milan as a free agent for €10.5m per season wages.

The goalkeeper just turned 22 last month and already has over 200 Serie A appearances under his belt, having made his debut as a 16-year-old.

However, the various issues at Milan mean his contract is due to expire in June 2021, so he could technically already agree terms with another club for a free transfer next season.

Donnarumma has said he doesn’t want to take that course of action, yet negotiations with agent Mino Raiola to extend at San Siro have still not reached a breakthrough.

Time is running out and there’s a new element causing problems, because newspaper Libero claims Chelsea are offering wages worth €10.5m per season.

He is currently trying to get a deal worth €7m per year at Milan and the club is resisting.

Chelsea aren’t the only ones, as Paris Saint-Germain have long been linked with Italy international Donnarumma.
