Former Chelsea player and manager Gianluca Vialli has criticised the London club’s lack of transfers according to Sky Sports. The 51 year old played for Chelsea in the 90s and was also manger there from 1998-2000. Currently a pundit and commentator for Sky Sport Italia, the Italian argued that a lack of signings last summer has held Chelsea down this season:
"In the summer, the lack of signings at Chelsea was important.
"Normally you create a spark and that did not happen, and I think some of the players were mentally tired.”
