Chelsea hero Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is favourite for the QPR manager's job.
The Dutchman has impressed in charge of Burton Albion.
The Daily Star Sunday says in addition to Burton boss Hasselbaink, Rangers are also considering former Charlton and Huddersfield manager Chris Powell and Walsall's Dean Smith.
Hasselbaink, 44 was a prolific striker for Leeds, Chelsea and Middlesbrough and the former Dutch international has impressed at League One side Burton.
Powell, 46, is available after losing his job at Huddersfield earlier this month.
