Frenkie de Jong’s future is unclear. The Dutch midfielder is not performing consistently with Barcelona and he may end up leaving next summer.
De Jong is one of the players Barcelona have with the highest market value.
The Dutch midfielder is young and liked in the European market, while Pedri, Gavi and Nico have burst onto the scene and are shining.
Barcelona hope he can take a step forward in what’s left of the season but if not, they are not ruling out selling him next summer. It would help them raise the money they want to sign Erling Haaland.
The Daily Mail say Chelsea are interested in the midfielder and have made a 33m pound offer for him, 40m euros.
The same source says they are not the only ones who want him, with Bayern Munich and Man City also interested.
In London they say Barcelona have put a 60m euro price on De Jong’s head. He signed from Ajax for 75m. They would consider dropping down to 50m.
