Chelsea target move for AC Milan forward

Published on: 09 January 2016

Premier League champions Chelsea are exploring the possibility of signing AC Milan forward Carlos Bacca during the January transfer window.

The 29-year-old joined the Rossoneri from La Liga club Sevilla for â‚¬30 million in July 2015 after the club matched his buyout clause.

According to Spanish media outlet Marca, the Blues have identified the Colombia international as a possible replacement for current first choice striker Diego Costa.

Bacca has netted eight times during 16 league appearances under coach Sinisa Mihajlovic since his arrival in the summer and is seen as an integral part of the clubs playing staff.

Meanwhile, Milan have seen their hopes of signing Real Madrid midfielder Isco dashed as recently instated  coach Zinedine Zidane has vetoed the transfer.

Roma welcome the Diabolo to the Stadio Olimpico in Rome on Saturday evening as both clubs search for a much needed victory to ease the pressure on their respective coaches.
