Chelsea to play Champs Lge tie in Berekum

Ghanaian champions Berekum Chelsea will play their CAF Champions preliminary round return leg tie at the Golden City Park. 

The Confederation of African football has approved the venue as the host Liberian champions LISCR this Sunday.

The venue was renovated work to meet the requirement of the continent's football governing body.

The dressing rooms for players, referees and match commissioners have been refurbished.

A tunnel has been erected to link the dressing room and the pitch.

The VIP stand has been put into shape and a press box has been built.

"CAF has sanctioned the Berekum venue so we can use it on Sunday for our match against the Liberians," a club official Oduro Sarfo said in an interview.

"They (CAF) instructed retired Ghanaian official L.O Laryea to do the inspection of the venue and it has been approved.

"The venue has been transformed and renovated to the extent that it is one of the best mini-stadiums you can talk of in Ghana now."

Berekum Chelsea hold a 2-0 advantage from the first leg played in Monrovia a fortnight ago.
