Chievo coach Rolando Maran was pleased with his side’s result against Torino, after winning at the Stadio Olimpico.

Maran underlined the importance of the win because of the many absentees in his squad.

“We played with many players missing, I have never said it before, but it’s a fact,” he told Sky Sport.

“The team reacted wonderfully, taking the three points and deservedly so.

“Against Torino the lads confirmed what we have from a technical and mental point of view, as it was not easy to come to Torino and win the game, it is difficult for anyone.”

Chievo went 1-0 down against the Granata in the first half, but then found a lucky equalizer with Bruno Peres’ own goal and then the winner thanks to a Valter Birsa penalty late in the second half.
