Chinese club offer Sampdoria striker bumper contract

Chinese Super League club Jiangsu Suning have set their sights on Sampdoria striker Eder.

Jiangsu, who were taken over last month by a multi-billion euro Chinese retailer, are joining their fellow league members in their annual attempt to bring global names to China’s top league. Other Chinese clubs have shown interest in AC Milan’s Luiz Adriano and Inter’s Fredy Guarin in recent days.

In order to tempt Eder away from Serie A football Jiangsu have prepared a contract worth €6 million each year before bonuses, report Sky Sport Italia.

Whilst that offer may appeal to the Italy international, the Chinese outfit still need to convince Sampdoria to sell their asset, and on that front they are willing to part with €16 million.

Inter remain interested in Eder too, but it’s doubted whether they can match their Asian rivals’ financial might in this pursuit, with club president Erick Thohir apparently unwilling to fund an expensive transfer window.
