Chippa United boss Chippa Mpengesi claims the club have signed Ghana goalkeeper Fatau Dauda on a two-year permanent deal.

Yesterday, GHANASoccerenet.com, the country’s leading football website broke the news about the goalkeeper agreeing to join the newly promoted Absa Premiership side.

"It's a done deal," Mpengesi confirmed to Kickoff.com.

"We have finalised the paperwork with Pirates. It's an outright purchase from Pirates."

Dauda is in search of regular playing after a frustrating debut season at Orlando Pirates where he managed only three appearances.

The 29-year-old was down the pecking order behind Senzo Meyiwa but managed to convince all and sundry about his qualities at the World Cup finals.

Dauda played in two matches and was impressive.
