Christian Atsu has been dropped from the FC Porto squad for the final league game at Pacos de Ferreira on Sunday.

This is the second straight game the Ghana international will be sitting out since his return from injury.

The 21-year-old sustained an ankle injury which ruled him out of action for over a month.

He however returned three weeks ago to play a part in Porto’s 2-0 win over Vitoria Setubal three weeks ago.

He however failed to come off the bench in the 3-1 win at Nacional the following week and was subsequently dropped from the team in last weekend’s rivalry clash with Benfica.

Atsu again will be missing out in Porto’s final game of the season which will be the crowning moment for the Dragons with a victory on Sunday.

They currently lead the Portuguese top flight by just a single point off rivals; Benfica ahead of the division’s final game this weekend.
