Steve Clarke's future at Liverpool is in the balance.

One of Brendan Rodgers’ first decisions will be to decide whether to include Clarke in his backroom staff.

Clarke was assistant manager to Kenny Dalglish and offered his resignation when the Scot was sacked earlier this month, telling FSG that they came as a ‘package.’

That was rejected by Liverpool, however, and Rodgers knows Clarke from his time at Chelsea when he was youth academy director and then reserve team manager while Clarke was Jose Mourinho’s assistant.
