Ghanaian midfielder Salis Abdul Samed has started training after recovering from the injury that ruled him out of the Africa Cup of Nations.

The 21-year-old was dropped by Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac for the Nations Cup due to an ankle injury he sustained during the winter break.

The midfielder, who briefly spent the vacation in Ghana returned to France to start his recovery.

He started trained on Wednesday and could return to action for the Ligue 1 newcomers in the big game against AS Monaco.

Salis Abdul Samed has been an integral member of the French outfit since joining them in the summer transfer window, having made 17 Ligue 1 appearances.

His inclusion into Milovan Rajevac's 30 man provisional squad was his first ever call up to the national team.

The former JMG Academy player is hoping to help Clermont Foot avoid the drop in the French topflight league.
