Club Consult Africa denies Habib Mohammed handing in a transfer request

Published on: 15 March 2021

Asante Kotoko defender Habib Mohammed has not handed in a transfer request according to the player's representatives Club Consult Africa.

The centre-back was recently involved in a near bust-up with Coach Johnson Smith in the Ghana Premier League game against King Faisal last Wednesday which they won by a lone goal.

Habib was substituted just a few minutes to end proceedings in the first half which got him to infuriate as he made a move towards Coach Johnson Smith.

He apologised for his action after being criticized.

With Asante Kotoko yet to sanction the player following that incident, it has been reported that Habib Mohammed has handed a transfer request in the ongoing transfer window.

However, his representatives Club Consult Africa in a post have denied those reports stating he is staying and fighting for his position.

"RE: Habib Mohammed Hands in Transfer Request We have taken notice of publications regarding the above-mentioned issue. We wish to state emphatically that Habib Mohammed. Habib has not written any such request. The player has a contract with Asante Kotoko and is ready to stay"...
