Former Dreams FC coach Charles Akunnor has agreed a two-year-deal with AshantiGold ahead of upcoming season.

Akunnor, 43, was appointed coach of the side midway last season to help extricate their underwhelming campaign, which he did by guiding the club to a 10th place finish.

The former Ghana international has been given a two year contract to continue his good work with the club.

He will officially take charge of the team next week where he will be involved in the team’s preseason training.

Akunnor is expected to be heavily involved in the Miners recruitment of players in the off season.

He previously coached Eleven, Hearts of Oak and briefly handled the Ghana's U-20 team.
