Coach Ken August to take charge of Lions

Coach Ken August has told GHANAsoccernet.com he has signed an agreement to take charge of Heart of Lions.

The ex-Great Olympic boss will take over the mantle from Paa Kwesi Fabian as the club’s new boss after Lions Premier League game on Sunday.

The experienced tactician has been given the responsibility of building on the prospect of the team in the top-flight league.

He told GHANAsoccernet.com: "We have come to some form of agreement and I will take charge of the club from next week.

"The main issue is to salvage as many points as possible in the league and hope that we manage at least a top-four finish

"We have come to some kind of agreement and we’ll take of Hearts of Lions and I will be starting from next week.

"The task ahead is huge and hopefully we’ll be able to continue from where my colleague coach Fabian has left off."

Paa Kwesi Fabin is expected to assume his full role as national under-17 team.
