Maxwell Konadu will resign as the coach of Ghana's new champions Kotoko at the end of the season.

The new Ghana assistant coach will forfeit the chance of leading the Porcupine Warriors to the Champions League next season.

This is to enable him concentrate on his duties as the deputy coach of the national team, says AsempaWikileaks.

According to the report the former international striker will hand in his resignation letter to the club by next week.

Ghana coach Akwasi Appiah named Konadu as his assistant after both of them worked together to lead the country to the All African Games title.

But Appiah wants Konadu to work him on permanent basis which has prompted the decision for the latter to quit Kotoko.
