Coach Nii Odoom was not treated fairly- Hearts’ Supporters Chief

Hearts of Oak’s Supporters Chief, Elvis Herman Hesse says the club has not been fair to its former Coach head coach Edward Nii Odoom following his demotion to the youth team.

Coach Odoom has been demoted to the youth side Auroras following the arrival of Serbian trainer, Kosta Papic who has been named as the new head coach of the team.

A statement from the club to indicate his demotion from head coach to the youth side read,  "He takes over from Coach Edward Nii Odoom who has been in charge since last season and oversaw Hearts’ opening two games of this season against AshantiGold SC (2-2) and Inter Allies (0-1)".

"Coach Odoom will serve as one of the assistants at the club and will also be in charge of the youth setup, Auroras".

According to the Elvis Herman Hesse, Coach Odoom was not given the necessary support at the club as he had to work alone for some period before he was given an assistant just some few days to the start of the season.

“We have not been fair to Odoom. If nobody interfered in his second game and he is fired for that then I have no problem”, he told Happy FM.

“Odoom did not have an assistant and there were series of meetings he was told he will get an assistant but it never came”.

"I gave Coach Odoom all the support and I hope those that brought Kosta Papic will also give him the support. They must make sure he succeeds because we will be watching", he added.
