Ghana midfielder Cofie Bekoe was sent off for Lierse SK who drew 0-0 with Standard Liege in the Belgian Pro League on Friday night.

The 24-year-old enjoyed a great start to the game but that ended as early as 26 minutes.

He went in with a flying tackle on Yoni Buyens and he was instantly sent off.

Lierse midfielder Bourabia was also booked for protesting against Bekoe's red card.

Rahim Ayew was conspicuously missing from the Lierse team-sheet as well as Daniel Opare from the Standard Liege squad for the game.

Elsewhere, Abraham Kudemor played 90 minutes for Sporting Charleroi in their 1-0 defeat at home to Club Brugge.

Abdul Yakini Iddi was an 85th minute substitute for Mechelen in their 0-0 away draw at Waasland-Beveren.
