Concerned Techiman City insist Ghana FA must implement Article 36 of the Football Regulations

Techiman City FC are insisting that the Ghana Football Association must implement Article 36 of the Football Regulations which talks extensively about doping, claiming the menace is becoming rampant in our game.

According to the President of the club, many sachets of substances he suspects to be doping substances as well as syringes are seen in many dressing rooms after matches.

He added that the performance of most players on the field raises a lot of questions during games as they do not show signs of tiredness.

Speaking to Ghanasoccernet.com on the issue, Charles Kwadwo Ntim [Micky Charles] said the FA must start implementing the mandatory doping test to check and curb the emerging canker.

"We are writing officially to the FA to implement the mandatory doping test. We are of the belief that most players dope themselves before and during matches," Micky Charles said.

"It is surprising that you go to the dressing room after matches and find sachets of performance enhancing substances and syringes in the dressing rooms of some teams."

"It is a serious emerging issue and the FA must quickly act to curb it," he concluded.

Concerns were raised about the performance of Accra Hearts of Oak when they were unbeaten in their initial five matches with many insisting that the players take in performance enhancing substances.

However, the technical team and management of the club quashed the reports.
