Ghana international Bernard Tepketey who was a surprise inclusion in Ghana’s AFCON squad has signed a contract extension at Schalke till 2020 GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.
The 20-year-old youngster impressed in pre-season and was rewarded by new Schalke boss Tedeso with a deal that will see him married to the club for two more seasons.
The striker who was brought to Schalke by club legend Gerald Asamoah will be immediately loaned out to Austrian side Altach where he is expected to get the game time he so desires.
His progress will be monitored with an eagle eye as his one of the players Schalke will be looking to have for the 2018 Bundesliga season.
The Ghanaian has only made three senior appearances for the Schalke first team but there is no doubting his potential and the contract is evidence of how he is held at the Gelsenkirchen-based club.
