Conte delivers Chelsea surprise orders over Stones: Italian duo eyed

Published on: 27 March 2016

Incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte wants to BLOCK their move for Everton defender John Stones.

The Daily Star Sunday says the Everton and England defender is still a major target for Chelsea, with technical director Michael Emenalo driving the proposed £50m deal.

But Conte is understood to see his Italy centre back - Leonardo Bonucci, of Juventus - as a better option.

Conte is also known to be an admirer of Inter Milan-owned centre back Andrea Ranocchia, who is on loan at Sampdoria.

The Italian has also told Chelsea he wants Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan as his first signing if he is appointed in the summer.
