CONTE: "LET'S BOUNCE BACK WITH DESIRE AND HUMILITY"

European nights are set to return for Inter, who will take to the pitch tomorrow to play the first leg of their round of 32 tie against Ludogorets. Kick-off in Razgrad, Bulgaria is scheduled for 18:55 CET on Thursday 20 February. On the eve of the match, the Nerazzurri coach Antonio Conte spoke to the press at the Ludogorets Arena: “We’ll be facing a side who are used to playing in Europe, they’re also top of their league by a large margin. Ludogorets are a good team and have quality players, they’re excellent when they come forward. We will need to be determined and show humility and desire. We will need to be at our best because we’ll be facing a side in good shape. We will have to pay attention and show great respect.”

Inter come into the game on the back of their league defeat to Lazio: “It was a painful result, but our performance was excellent. We’ve now got back up with the desire to bounce back and move forward. That's why we’ll be looking to approach the Europa League in the right way.”

Brozovic and Skriniar won’t be involved in the match in Razgrad: “Marcelo has stayed behind in Milan due to an ankle problem, he’s following a recovery programme to get him back fully fit. Skriniar wouldn’t have played, which is why I preferred for him to stay at home. As for Alexis Sanchez, he’s recovered from a bad injury but needs to reach optimum condition physically. He’s ready to play, he’ll help us reach our objectives.

“Every single player needs to focus on improving themselves, they shouldn’t just place their hopes in those around them. Individual development leads to collective growth.”
