Vice chairperson of the GFA Normalisation Committee Mrs Lucy Quist says Black Stars head coach Kwesi Appiah's contract has still not been resolved.

Appiah's contract will expire in April, two months to the start of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

"The Normalisation Committee is holding discussions with coach Kwesi Appiah because, at the end of the day, his contractual details is a private matter," Mrs Quist told Asempa FM.

"But we also recognize that the Afcon is fast approaching so we are looking for a way forward. We will duly inform the public when there is an agreement."

Her claims contradict what chairman of the NC Dr Kofi Amoah said a few weeks ago. The business mogul revealed Kwesi Appiah had been handed a six months contract extension.

He added that the new contract contained a clause which allows coach Kwesi Appiah to be sacked  if he fails to win AFCON 2019 in Egypt.
