Coronavirus deaths in Italy drop slightly from yesterday while 999 recover

Coronavirus deaths have dropped slightly from yesterday, while 999 have recovered from the illness during the last 24 hours ago.

Thursday’s report from the civil protection, carried out by director general Agostino Miozzo, highlighted another 662 deaths – which is another drop from Wednesday’s tally of 683 but remain a high number of deceased every day.

Another 999 have healed from the illness and the total of subjects currently positive are 62,013. This means that the total number of healed rises to 10,361.

Out of the 62,013 currently positive, 3,612 are in intensive care (increased by 123 from yesterday’s 3,489). There has also been an increase in the number of self-isolated people with 33,648 currently in quarantine at home without, or with mild symptoms.

The numbers remain high in the region of Lombardy, with 387 deaths between yesterday and today, closer to the 402 on Thursday than the 296 from yesterday.

The region has tested 6000, twice as many as two days ago and there are 2543 more infected today than yesterday, most of them in Milan. 848 people tested positive in Milan, only nine less than in Brescia.

The worst case remains in Bergamo, more or less stable compared to the previous days.
