Coronavirus outbreak threatens Isaah Abbas' loan spell with Dutch side Utrecht

FC Utrecht forward Issah Abass, season may be coming to an end if football does not return before June 30 due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The Eredivise has been suspended due to the Covid-19 outbreak which has also resulted in a lot of sporting activities cancelled across the globe.

In a statement, the Eredivisie said: "All matches in the Eredivisie and Keuken Kampioen Divisie [second tier] have been suspended for the next two match days because of the coronavirus outbreak."

According to a data by Transfermarket.com players with contracts expiring on June 30 may see their season end prematurely if the leagues do not start before or after June 30, 2020.

Abass, who is on loan from German Bundesliga side Mainz 05 will be one of the affected players should football not return soon.
