The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ghana Premier League side, Techiman Eleven Wonders, Albert Commey says if the coronavirus pandemic drags on clubs in the country are really going to be affected.

The 2019/20 Ghana Football season has been suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak in the country.

Ghana has recorded 1,550 cases with 155 recoveries and 11 death cases.

The pandemic has also brought about some financial difficulties for clubs due to the suspension of the league.

Without a league title sponsorship, clubs have appealed to the Ghana Football Association and government for help to ease their burden during these difficult times.

Speaking in an interview, Albert Commey says the Covid-19 will really affect clubs if its prolongs.

"If the coronavirus pandemic drags on it will really affect clubs. Our traditional ways of making monies has been halted, that is money from gate proceeds and even sponsors are even writing to clubs to suspend sponsorships", he told Vision I FM.

He added that, "We are not considering pay cuts at Eleven Wonders so we are doing everything possible to pay salaries of players.

"This is also the time to show love to the players. I have never envy a player when they take their signing on fees because of what they do through. Clubs should also consider the timing for the salary cuts".
