Covid-19: Bechem United opposes pay cut for players
Bechem United

Bechem United Chief Executive Officer, Nana Kwesi Darlyn says the club has no plans of reducing the salary of players amid the coronavirus pandemic.

There has been a talk about clubs considering pay cuts  due to the pandemic which has brought about hardship and financial stress on economics and affecting clubs as a result.

Ghanaian players have been told to emulate their counter parts in Europe who have accepted to take a pay cut amid this crisis in order not to collapse the clubs.

In Ghana the conversation about a pay cut has been opposed by most players in the top-flight league.

Bechem United has joined the list of Ghana Premier League sides that have opposed the pay cut discussion.

" Bechem United will not introduce salary cut to our players in this Covid-19 era", Bechem CEO Nana Kwesi Darlynn told Angel FM.

He added: "Already, club President Kingsley Owusu Achiaw has  given salary advance to players since the league was brought to a halt".
