President of King Faisal Babes, Alhaji Grunsah says there is no need to restart the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League as the coronavirus pandemic lingers on.

The 2019/20 football season has been suspended since March due to the coronavirus outbreak in the country.

Alhaji Grunsah who has been campaigning for the season to be truncated since the suspension of the league says there is no need to rush in to restarting the season.

“I agree with Nana Addo for extending ban on football activities, where are we rushing to play our league to,people will say i support cancellation because of my club’s position on the log but that’s not it,we need to prepare well so we can perform in Africa” Grusah told Oyerepa FM.

The Kumasi-based club were placed bottom on the league log before the suspension of the league.

The Ghana FA is set to announce the future of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season on June 30 after engaging the various stakeholders and government.
