Hernan Crespo says he prefers Leo Messi over Cristiano Ronaldo and is convinced Paulo Dybala’s time at Juventus will come.
“I am really happy for [Andrea] Pirlo, Andrea is an extraordinary person and I always wish good things to nice people,” Crespo told Tuttosport.
“We played together, we shared a lot of feelings. I remember him and Sandro Nesta shared the room and I always went to disturb them. We spent some amazing moments of joy.
Crespo believes Paulo Dybala’s time at Juve will come as the Argentinean has only had little game time due to an injury.
“Dybala’s talent will shine soon. He’s a player for a top team and he’s proved it so many times. For me there is no problem.”
Lautaro Martinez is another Argentinean Crespo has been admiring:
“I was convinced by Lautaro Martinez’s choice last summer. He remained at Inter.
“The season was complicated because of the pandemic, the club decided to gamble on him for the first time, using him as a starter after the departure of Maurito Icardi. El Toro did not hesitate, he’s faced the challenge and has showed his qualities.
“Zanetti and Milito speak very high of him, he is an incredible player with room for improvement.
Barcelona travel to Turin next week to face Juventus in the Champions League but Leo Messi doesn’t seem to have quite solved his issues with the Catalans.
“I am sorry to see a sad Leo Messi at Barcelona, it’s his home,” Crespo insisted.
“I hope he will resume the excellent relations he used to have or it could kill the love among the player and the fans. People management has to do with his problems.
“I am looking forward to seeing Juve-Barcellona but I would choose Messi without taking anything away from Cristiano Ronaldo.
“Leo is a compatriot, I guy who I saw growing up. The Copa America is on next summer, Argentina and Colombia are the organizers. I hope we can go all way to the end.
