Crystal Palace Midfielder Jeffrey Schlupp has trained with the Ghana squad on Tuesday night, appearing in the squad for the first time in four years.

The versatile players was all smiles as the Black Stars trained at the Accra Stadium and showed glimpses of his recent form which led to his recall to the squad.

He trained for the entire duration of Tuesday's session after being named in coach Kwesi Appiah's Black Stars squad to face Kenya on March 23th in the final AFCON 2019 qualifier.

The in-form Crystal Palace player is returning to the team for the first time since scoring in Ghana's 7-1 thrashing of Mauritius in June 2015.

Schlupp has been in scintillating form for the Eagles and was named Crystal Palace Player for the Month of February after some impressive performances.

The 26-year old is expected to walk into Kwesi Appiah's team against the Harambee Stars, and could play either on the left side of attack or in a defensive role.

Meanwhile, several players who are regulars in the team were left out of the squad for various reasons including injuries, loss of form, lack of playing time and the chance for the coach to observe other players.

The Black Stars are seeking revenge over the Harambee Stars after they defeated the side 1-0 in the first match of the group qualifiers in Nairobi last year.

The Ghana players will be seeking to silence Kenya and finish top of the group of the qualifiers ahead of the tournament to be played in Egypt in June.
