Ghana striker Jordan Ayew has explained why he signed a new one-year contract extension with Crystal Palace.
Ayew decided to stay because he feels at home at the South London club, and the club has a lot of faith in him.
“Crystal Palace is my home and I’m very happy at the football club, they have a lot of faith in me.
“You know I extended my contract and I’m very happy and I will continue the adventure there and hopefully this season will be a better one” he told Radio Gold Sports.
Ayew's previous deal was due to expire at the end of this month, but he has signed a new deal until June 2023.
The 30-year-old joined on loan from Swansea in 2018 and signed a three-year contract the following year.
Ayew ended the 2021-22 season with three goals and three assists in 31 Premier League matches.
