Crystal Palace to lose Jeffrey Schlupp for two months

Published on: 13 December 2019

Crystal Palace are set to miss Jeffrey Schlupp for two months to the sidelines following an injury.

The versatile player sustained a hip injury in the premiership game against Watford last week and is facing a lengthy lay off.

The Ghana star has been in rich form for the Eagles in recent weeks having scored twice in his last three games.

The 26-year-old underwent a series of tests earlier this week to determine the extent of the injury and the scans have showed up hip tendon damage.

The former Leicester City man is expected back in action in late February 2020.

This is a key blow to Roy Hodgson as he prepares his side for the difficult festive period within the month.
