Dutch-born Ghanaian attacker Brian Brobbeys says he had to google and find more about new RB Liepzig manager Jesse Marsch.

Jesse Marsch was named coach of RP Liepzig following the departure of Julian Nagglesmann to German giants Bayern Munich.

The American previously coach Red Bull Salzburg and will be leading Liepzig for the upcoming Bundesliga campaign.

Meanwhile, Brobbey is joining the German outfit from Ajax after refusing to extend his stay in January.

“When it was clear that Jesse was going to be the new coach, I first checked the internet. I wanted to know how he played and I saw his speech from the game with Salzburg in Liverpool,” he is quoted as saying to the Bild.

Brobbey was hoping to work with Julian Nagglesmann, who he spoke with before signing the deal, but remains poised for the upcoming season.

“It was a little strange for me because he said he was going to stay. But I had a good conversation with Jesse Marsch and he's a very good coach. Now we speak almost every day. I'm glad I'm here.

“I'm pretty good at that. have to train hard every day and show myself to offer myself to the coach. Then he has to decide who to put up. But I want to be important to the team. "
