Danilo: 'Juventus lacked organisation'

Published on: 28 November 2020

Danilo admits Juventus ‘lacked organisation’ after Benevento’s equaliser and that made the situation even more difficult.

The Bianconeri were held to a 1-1 draw at the Stadio Vigorito, with Alvaro Morata’s goal cancelled out by Gaetano Letizia on the stroke of half-time.

The tension got to Morata, who was sent off for dissent after the final whistle and will therefore be suspended against Torino.

“I think we need to look within ourselves,” Danilo told Sky Sport Italia.

“It was a good first half, but when we conceded the goal, we lacked organisation and that made the situation even more difficult.

“We still feel that we are the strongest team, but we all have to do better.”

Danilo has become a crucial cog in the Juve defence, as he can work as a full-back or central in a three-man defence.

“Modern football is like that, you need to understand various moments and be ready to help the team, the coach and the club.”
