German-Ghanaian professional footballer Braydon Manu has suffered another setback to his Darmstadt career after contracting COVID-19.

The 24-year-old recently made a return from injury ahead of the start of the Bundesliga II season for the club and must go back on the sidelines after contracting the COVID-19.

Manu returned to Darmstadt after his loan from Halle in the summer.

He made 18 appearances and scored four goals for the club last season.

Three players of Darmstadt 98 have contracted the virus and per the health, protocols they have been asked to isolate.

"It may well be that we will be missing five or six more players due to an official order," said Darmstadt coach Lieberknecht.

Darmstadt will be without their key players against Jahn Regensburg on Saturday at the Böllenfalltor.

The team will find out the number of players to be available for the game after the final round of testing before the game.
