David Duncan confident Hearts can still challenge for Premier League crown

David Duncan is confident  Hearts will return to winning ways after two slips left them 12th on the Ghana Premier League table.

The Phobians were beaten 2-0 at Heart of Lions over the weekend to leave them trailing leaders Aduana Stars by ten points.

They are not within touching distance of a top-four finish with their supporters growing impatient with their hot and cold performance.

The club’s technical head has confirmed plans to beef up his squad with the acquisition of ‘many’ players to aid their campaign in the transfer window.

The former Ashantigold trainer insists his side will soon put their foot on the pedal.

“It obviously a disturbing situation we find ourselves. But like I said when I took over the mantle, this is work in progress,” Duncan said

“We need to work on the various department of the game because such defeats are not good.

“However I’m very confident that if we manage to get the kind of players who can play for Hearts, then we’ll begin to see some positive results.

“Let’s keep on working hard and see how it goes. There is lots of work to be done.

Hearts will next host Aduana Stars at home on Sunday December 23 at the Accra sports stadium.
