De Gea was offered £66.7m to join Real Madrid

Futher documents released by website Football Leaks claim that David De Gea would have earned £66.7m if his move from Manchester United to Real Madrid had not collapsed on transfer deadline day last summer.

Both clubs have refused to comment on the leaked document, which claims that De Gea was set to sign a six year deal at Real that would earn the goalkeeper £9m a year, as well as a £8.4m signing-on fee. After the deal collapsed De Gea signed a new four year deal with United that is believed to earn him around £200,000 a week.
