Defender Akwasi Bobie Ansah held his first training session on Wednesday ahead of his impending move to Asante Kotoko.

The former Hearts of Oak man refused to extend his contract  with the capital-based club.

The impressive right back has been identified as a direct replacement for Yaw Frimpong who is on the verge of signing for Congolese giants TP Mazembe.

Discussions between the club and the player’s representative have reached an advanced stage with the player expected to sign the dotted-lines on a two-year contract.

Ansah is a free agent and  therefore eligible to play for the club.
