Defender Godfred Saka agrees two-year Aduana Stars contract extension

Aduana Stars defender Godfred Saka has agreed a two-year contract extension to the end of the 2016-17 season.

Saka, 29, has been with the Fire club ever since their promotion to the Premier League in the 2009/10 season.

The full-back has consistently been linked with moves away from the Dorma-based due to his consistent displays in the Ghanaian top flight.

But the Right to Dream Academy graduate has surprisingly remain with the club despite continuous interests elsewhere.

Aduana Stars chief Albert Commey has revealed the experienced right-back has extended his stay. “That’s true, he [Godfred Saka] and Adams extended their contracts by two years each,” he is quoted by told footy-Ghana.

“Their contracts expired and we thought they want to move on but they went to Nana and expressed their intention to continue and the extension was done.

Saka won the Ghana Premier League title with Aduana Stars in their debut top-flight season in 2009.
