Ghana defender John Boye has declared himself fully fit and will not require surgery to correct a nose injury.

The Rennes medical team prescribed surgery for the 24-year-old after he suffered the injury in a Ligue 1 game against Valenciennes in April.

But Boye postponed the surgery till the end of the season and played with a face mask.

"I will no more have the surgery because I think I'm better now and can play without the nose mask," Boye told MTNFootball.com

The centre-back is now available to play for Ghana in next month's 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Zambia.

The news will come as a big relief for Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah is readying to announce his squad for next month's qualifiers.
