Ghanaian defender Jonathan Quartey has emerged as a target for local giantà Asante Kotoko,à GHANAsoccernet.comà has gathered.
Quartey, 23, left French outfit Nice following the cancelation of hisà contract by mutual consent in January due to lack of playing time.
He failed to establish himself at the club since he joined them in 2009Ã from South African side Kaizer Chiefs.
The former Ashantigold central defender is now a free agent and in searchà of a club and the Kumasi-based side has identified him as a possibleà replacement for Awal Mohammed who is expected to join an Europeanà side at the end of the current campaign.
