Dejan Kulusevski: How much Spurs have to pay for permanent transfer

Published on: 23 March 2022

Tottenham will have to pay Juventus €30m to sign Dejan Kulusevski permanently this summer.

Kulusevski joined Spurs on loan from Juventus until the end of the 2022/23 season in January and has made an incredible impact already.

Acting as the perfect foil to Harry Kane and Son Heung-min, the Swede has scored twice and registered four assists in just nine Premier League appearances.

As reported by the Guardian, Kulusevski is extremely happy in London and enjoys working under Antonio Conte, who previously tried to sign him while in charge of Inter.

They also note that if Spurs wish to make his loan move permanent in the summer, they will need to pay €30m (£24.9m). That option will remain valid until the end of the 2022/23 season, unless the mandatory €35m (£29.1m) purchase clause kicks in.

This will be activated if Kulusevski features in more than half of Spurs' Premier League matches in 2022/23 and the club also qualify for the Champions League.

Tottenham have already spent €10m on a loan fee for the forward and as he seems such a good fit for their system it seems likely that they will attempt to make his move permanent early this summer.
